The 1756-IB32 series B module is an Allen Bradley ControlLogix digital DC input module with 32 inputs. Its input voltage range is 12 to 24 volts DC voltage, and its operating voltage range is 10 to 31.2 volts DC voltage. The input delay time of the Allen Bradley 1756-IB32 series B module is 420 microseconds, plus the operator's selectable filter time. The rated current of this input module is a maximum input current of 1.5 milliamps, a maximum operating current of 5.5 milliamps, a minimum operating current of 2 milliamps, a base current of 120 milliamps at 5 volts DC, and a base current of 2 milliamps at 24 volts DC. The 32 inputs of the Allen Bradley 1756-IB32 series B module are divided into two groups of 16 inputs each.
The 1756-IB32 series B ControlLogix digital DC input module consumes approximately 6.2 watts of power when operating at a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. This module has reverse polarity protection. It is partially protected by an open shell. This open housing does not protect Allen Bradley 1756-IB32 B series modules from liquids, debris, and irritating or corrosive chemicals, but it can protect the most important parts of the module from minor threats. The open housing can also prevent operators from coming into contact with live parts of the module and being injured by voltage. This module also has a state change function, which can be configured for different applications. The RSLogix 5000 software used by the module must be version 8.02 or higher of the software.
