TRICONEX 8312
TRICONEX 8312 Power module
The V9 Tricon rack is equipped with one of the following power modules:
型号 | 电源模件 |
8310 | 120VAC/VDC |
8311 | 24VDC |
8312 | 230VAC |
This section provides the following information about power modules:
-A physical description
-One characteristic
-Alarm description
-One specification
physical description
The power module is located at the bottom left of the rack and converts external voltage into a suitable one for each Tricon module
The wiring strips for the two power modules are installed on the lower left side of the panel section of the back panel. One grounding wire is used to select the grounding scheme of the system, and the other is used for power supply introduction wire and alarm connection.
Each power module is equipped with an online flame retardant fuse for each external power source, which is installed inside the module. When module replacement is required, there is no need to disconnect any wiring or remove the power module. Simply remove the module from the rack.
Terminal selection for system grounding
There are three grounding terminals on the upper back panel of the power module:
-RC network (RC) connected to the rack ground
-Directly connected to the internal signal ground (functional ground) of Tricon
-Directly connected to the rack ground (protective grounding)
Usually, Tricon is shipped with a foot wire and installed between RC and signal ground. You can remove this jumper and use another grounding method.
characteristic
In a normal environment, both power modules are working, each supplying power to Tricon. At this time, only the PASS and POWER indicators are lit (ON), and either power module can independently supply power to the rack for a certain period of time
be careful! To ensure the safety and integrity of the system, each power module is independently connected to a different power source, and independent circuit breakers or switches are installed in each circuit.
If one of the power modules or its input power fails, the other module will increase its output to maintain the power supply of Tricon. If the input power is interrupted or one of the two modules malfunctions, its FAULT indicator will light up (ON). You can disconnect the faulty power module from the on-site power supply, remove it from the Tricon rack, and replace it without interrupting the Tricon control.
Power module specifications
Each Tricon power module is a field replaceable device that uses a high-efficiency DC-DC converter. All types of power modules are protected to prevent reverse connection of DC input. The power supply of power modules with models 8310, 8311, and 8312 has separate specifications, but the specifications for alarm contacts are the same.
When an inductive load is connected, the rated switching power of the contact decreases by 25% of its maximum value, which is 31.25VA for AC use and 15 watts for DC use. When connected to an incandescent lamp, the starting current may reach 10-15 times the rated load current of the lamp. Please consult the manufacturer of the lamp for detailed specifications regarding the amplitude and duration of the starting shock. When calculating the required contact switch power, the starting current must be used.
