PROSOFT   MVI56-MNET   TCP/IP client/server enhanced communication module

By using the MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP client/server enhanced communication module, Rockwell Automation can be easily achieved ®  The connection between ControlLogix processors and Modicon programmable automation controllers (PACs), as well as various Modbus TCP/IP compatible instruments and devices.
The enhanced features of MVI56E include local and remote configuration and diagnostics through the module's Ethernet port, as well as CIPconnect bridging through Rockwell Automation ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks ®  Technology.
MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT are functionally identical. MVI56E-MNET is used for standard process application projects. MVI56E-MNETXT for Logix XT ™  Control platform, capable of working in extreme environments. It can withstand higher operating temperatures and has a coating that provides protection under harsh or corrosive conditions.

Functional specifications
MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT are functionally identical. MVI56E-MNET is used for conventional processes and control environments. MVI56E-MNETXT is coated to provide additional protection in harsh or corrosive environments, and can operate in extreme high or low temperature environments.
Both modules transmit data with the largest possible I/O image block size to optimize data throughput and update time.
For the ControlLogix processor, both modules are used as input/output (I/O) modules, rather than communication modules.
In local rack applications, both modules can work well and can also be used in remote rack applications. The inRAxMNET module has a version optimized for remote racks and reduced data block size. Please refer to MVI56E-MNETR for specific information
