ICS Triplex  T8310   Extended processor

The T8310 expansion processor module, as shown in Figure 5-2, is installed on the leftmost side of the expansion rack to provide an interface between the expansion rack and the control rack. The module adopts the HIFT TRM structure to achieve fault tolerance. Extensive diagnosis, monitoring, and testing are provided for rapid fault identification. Hot standby modules and module sharing technology are provided to allow for automatic and manual maintenance strategies.

The expansion processor is connected to the expansion interface module in the controller rack through the expansion interface adapter T8312 using the TC-301 expansion cable. The transmission rate of the extended cable is 250Mbps.
The expansion processor module obtains dual redundant+24vDC internal operating voltage from the expansion rack backplane through module connectors.

All triple modular units are installed in a 19 inch rack. The installation bracket allows for front panel installation and rear panel installation.
The communication between TRUSTED system and external systems can be achieved through the main processor, dedicated communication module, or gateway module. Multiple communication protocols can be used for serial communication and Ethernet communication. The communication module can be installed in the control rack and expansion rack.
