The TRUSTED system operates as follows:
1. The process status processing data (switch position, transmitter reading, etc.) is sent into the input module. The process state data is first cached in each input module and then sent to the triple internal module bus IMB.2. The TMR processor reads and votes on process status information. Then the processor executes the application program stored in memory. The processors operate in triplicate groups, sharing information with each other and running in a tightly synchronized manner. The TMR processor calculates the output instruction and sends it to the output module.
The triple output command is sent back to the IMB bus and then to the correct output module. The output module accepts commands and votes on data, and then the output circuit is driven by the command after a majority vote.
The TRUSTED system continuously repeats this scanning sequence at a very fast speed and provides continuous fault-tolerant control. If an internal circuit in the system fails, it is voted out and the fault is notified, and the processor continues to run without any interruption.
I/O system
Different I/O modules have different point densities (usually 40 points per module), and a controller rack can accommodate up to 8 I/O modules. A controller rack can physically connect up to 28 expansion racks (a controller rack can have up to 4 expansion interfaces, with each expansion interface having up to 7 connections). The expansion rack can accommodate up to 12 I/O modules. However, a controller (processor) can handle up to 100 I/O module slots. 100 slots * 60 channels/module=6000 I/O. However, the more I/O modules there are, the longer the scanning time of the system. Therefore, considering different redundancy schemes for I/O modules.
There are no typical or rigid system I/O point specifications, such as companion slots and smart slots, and scanning time limitations. Multiple systems can be combined and communicate and share information with each other through horizontal communication.
When using cables, the cable between the expansion rack and the controller rack must be within 100 meters. By using fiber optics, the distance between racks can reach 10 kilometers

The communication between TRUSTED system and external systems can be achieved through the main processor, dedicated communication module, or gateway module. Multiple communication protocols can be used for serial communication and Ethernet communication. The communication module can be installed in the control rack and expansion rack.
